Special interests include development of rapidly emerging applications of computer technology to the development and enhancement of machinery and optical systems.

This expert offers extensive experience in the area of Digital Image Processing. Regarding pattern recognition, this consultant has developed proprietary scene decomposition algorithms for image-to-audio conversion product useful to the blind, implemented standard algorithms for web-cam type security surveillance product, and evaluated algorithms for high speed currency date (penny coin) product. In addition, this consultant has evaluated pattern recognition algorithms for edge pattern detection of shredded paper, and used Intel pattern recognition algorithms for digital camera based triangulation style rangefinder product. This specialist has also implemented standard image processing (IP) algorithms for enhancement of high resolution microfilm-scanned images.

Other skills include creative synthesis of technologies with an excellent knowledge of mechanical design, optics, electronics and computer software at the product level from embedded systems to user software.
