Was principal consultant and managing director of firm that specialized in industrial lead paint management. Responsibilities included technical supervision and management of safety and health professionals dealing with worker protection issues, environmental engineers and scientist dealing with waste management and public health issues, and mechanical and structural engineers dealing with containment and ventilation system design. Provided direct project management on complex multi-disciplinary jobs, expert legal support, regulatory negotiations and congressional networking. Manager, Environmental Services Division, SE Technologies, Inc., Bridgeville, PA

Staff supervisory position responsible for technical quality and quantity of Industrial Hygiene and Pollution Control services delivered by seven industrial hygienists and over 120 safety specialists located throughout the Central and Midwest States. A progression of three job titles, these positions called for direct consulting with customers regarding the evaluation and control of work place and environmental conditions which could cause occupationally-induced illness or which could adversely affect the environment. Responsibilities included selection of appropriate instrumentation and collection of data necessary to evaluate exposures, analysis of resulting data to determine significance of exposures, and submission of recommendations and technical support to help customers implement controls. On average, conducted in excess of 100 field surveys in customer facilities annually.

Safety Consultant, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Pittsburgh, PA

A progression of three job titles, these positions required providing a full line of loss prevention and safety-related services to a broad range of customers, including commercial, construction, and industrial clients. On average, conducted over 250 surveys in customer facilities annually. Principal services included the identification of current or potential loss sources, development of programs to control the loss sources, and submission of plans of action to customer management to abate the hazards.
