Was responsible for the vision, definition, and coordination of the technology application and product development across the corporation and its subsidiaries worldwide, product development strategy and coordination of technology and product development with the Corporation's parent company, Miyachi Technos (Japan) and within the UMI subsidiaries (3 in US and 3 in Europe). Outlined 3-year product development plans for the subsidiary product lines for Unitek (world leader in fine-spot resistance welding), Miyachi (leading supplier of entire range of resistance welding products), Benchmark (seam sealers for the photonics and crystal packaging industry), Peco (European leader in resistance welding machines and systems).

Managed a team of three engineers in developing next generation laser products, in the area of project planning, resource allocation, and team coordination. Prototypes for all three projects, including Laser Weld Monitor (patent), Green Welding Laser (patent applied), and Picosecond Laser (suitable for next-generation micromachining system-short pulses will allow material removal with minimal collateral damage), completed on time.
