Managed a group of engineers responsible for GM’s next generation propulsion systems and for non-GM applications, e.g. military vehicles, trucks, buses, sub-cars, etc. Worked with many agencies and organizations that are influencing the direction of EV development and marketing. Some of these are Electric Power Research Institute, Southern California Edison, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, South Coast Air Quality Management District, AeroVironment Inc., DOE, DOD/DARPA, DOD/NUSC, DOT, EPA, INEL, and Jet Propulsion Laboratories. Have attended International Electric Vehicle Symposiums, DOE EV Subcontractors Meeting, Defense Advanced Research Programs Agency (DARPA) program briefings, Electric G-Van Project Reviews, and GM Public Relations Press Briefings with newspaper, magazine, and TV reporters. Have contacts and established dialog with many of the most influential people in the EV fraternity.

Managed the divisional specification system and, during this time, changed from a paper-based to a computer-based system on a DEC mainframe. This system ran on a database with extensive search, sort, and report generation features, enabling major cost savings projects.
