Key player in aluminum stamping technology. Responsibilities included a dual role of Process Engineering Manager and Tool + Die Manager. directed manufacturing engineering superintendents and tool and die superintendents, along with their supervisors and 234 hourly personnel across three shifts, new model advanced process design and advanced quality planning activities, starting at clay model design and process intent, FMEA’s and control plans, new tool and fixture construction and new product launch responsibilities in house and at non-Ford suppliers. Directed all launch activities for Light Truck, Taurus/Sable, Town Car, and several smaller programs, all current model tooling and fixture engineering changes. Shared responsibility for Quality Assurance activities, prioritize manpower planning, data collection and summation, and interface with customers. APQP, PPAP, R + M, training of salaried and hourly personnel. Assisted production activity as required. Drove manufacturing costs down with lower material usage and process improvements. Maintained business plan of departments to achieve the financial and productivity goals of Ford Motor Company and Chicago Stamping. Developed subordinates for future promotional opportunities through coaching, training, and mentoring, continuous improvements of processes and quality, and interaction with customers on regular basis. Plant quality customer liaison to all F-Series truck assembly plants.
