Has conducted numerous studies in areas including mass transfer downstream of a 90 degree bend in a square duct, effect of plenum cross flow on heat mass transfer near and within the entrance of film cooling holes, experimental mass heat transfer in and near a circular hole in a flat plate, and film cooling of the gas turbine endwall by discrete hole injection.

Additional areas of interest include influence of secondary flows near the endwall and boundary layer disturbance on convective transport from a turbine blade, mass transfer with flow through an array of rectangular cylinders, effect of fin shape on fluid flow and heat transfer performance of staggered short pin fin arrays
