Senior Accident Investigation Specialist, International technology firm and laboratories
Responsibilities included serving as instructor on Accident Investigation Training for Courses held at the Department of Energy (DOE) National Training Center. Prepared course material and instructed DOE Emergency Response Organization management and technical personnel on the conduct of Emergency Management program performance assessments in accordance with DOE Emergency Management; Environment, Safety, and Health; and Accident Investigation program requirements.

Managed 45 engineers, scientists, and administrative personnel in the performance of environment, safety, and health assessments of the Department's facilities. Managed the initial development of the Department's accident investigation program, policies, and training. Served as DOE Chairperson for several major accident investigations for the Secretary of Energy. These investigations covered accidents that resulted from fires, high voltage power lines, electrical systems, and radiological releases. Conducted training sessions on accident investigations for the department and produced Accident Investigation Training Videos for the department's major sites. Managed the development of office procedures/protocols, surveillance performance criteria, training/qualification standards, and resource management systems.

Nuclear Reactor Instrumentation and Control Engineer, Office of Reactor Safety Research, Energy Research and Development Administration & Atomic Energy Commission
Designed and developed nuclear instrumentation and control systems, data acquisition systems, plant protection systems, and process instrumentation systems. Responsibilities also included the preparation of system operating procedures and acceptance test procedures. As a Nuclear Reactor Engineer for the Office of Reactor Development and Technology, designed and developed instrumentation and control systems for liquid metal breeder reactors. Managed the design, procurement and installation of the nuclear instrumentation and process instrumentation for the Fast Flux Test Facility, the United States first large-scale commercial breeder reactor. Position required the preparation and utilization of commercial standards, system design descriptions, safety analysis reports, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and component/system design specifications. As an Instrumentation Engineer, designed, fabricated, and tested special instruments for liquid sodium cooled nuclear facilities. Accomplishments included the successful design, fabrication, and testing of a first out annunciator for the Sodium Component Test Facility and a time domain reflectrometry level sensor system.
Electrical Power Engineer, Pennsylvania Power & Light Co.
Designed electrical power distribution systems, calculated peak and off-peak design loads, selected transformer and capacitance sizing, and managed the hands-on installation of power lines and associated equipment.
