Always check your spelling. Although the search engine will attempt to find words that sound similar to your search terms, it is best to spell search terms correctly.
Use multiple words to return more refined results. A search for "mechanical engineer" will return more relevant results than a search for "engineer".
Use lower case, unless specifically looking for a proper noun. Lower case search terms will match any case. For example, "search" will match "Search", "SEARCH", and "search". Typing "Search", however, will instruct the search engine to look for only the capitalized word.
Use quotation marks to find words that must appear adjacent to each other. For example, "mechanical engineer". Without quotation marks, your search will return results that include the word "mechanical" and the word "engineer", but not necessarily in that order, and not necessarily together in the same file.
Use a plus sign when your search term or phrase must appear in the search results. The plus sign tells the search engine that a certain word or phrase is required in the search results. Note: A phrase must be contained within quotation marks. Leave no spaces between the plus sign and the term. For example: +"mechanical engineer"
