Developed the APQP quality assurance plan for the Telematics Gen1 and Gen2 modules. Work with interdisciplinary team of engineers, managers, agency personnel, vendors, customers and sr. management across all activities of the product development process to implement the quality assurance plan of the telematics module. Led three DFSS projects: Developed Head unit global architecture requirements, developed the system requirements engineering specifications to implement electronic PRNDL display in cluster, developed new standards and procedures to enhance vehicles speakers packaging. Led Seven DMAIC projects: Developed a standard to detect head unit skip issue at the dealer, reduce warranty cost ($1.2M yearly), developed a rattle testing procedure. Implemented the use of this prodcedure in the NVH testing process and at the plants quality audit process. Led the roll out to 14 plants globally located throughout North America. Introduced the Mahalanobis distance approach to the six sigma team at Ford to identify most contributing factor to a defect. Example, radio head unit CD skip issue. Resolved incoming quality issue caused by the use of the wrong testing software version level at the supplier assembly plant. Worked with supplier quality engineers to implement the recommensation and change the control plan. Resolved speaker buzz quality issue through the use of the six sigma tools at the truck plant. Led the recommendation and worked with the design release engineer to implement the recommendationsamong other projects.

Managed the engineering department (3 business Units), that supported business growth of 30% (from $110M to $150M) in two years. Managed 5 teams that launched five radio programs, two navigation programs and three sound systems programs for two different customers. Led the development of mobile multimedia systems (Radios, DVD Navigation, Amplifiers, and Subwoofer assemblies). Managed the CAD and design control process improvement. Led the development and the delivery of the first ever VW vehicle using the state of the art steer-by-wire subsystem to VW. Coordinated and negotiated all vendors activities, request for proposals, proposal evaluations and approval process.

Developed and implemented TRW automotive electronics technology road map. Developed few modules for advanced automotive electronics, hazard warning, one touch up with anti-trap feature, voice recognition module, and side looking automotive radar for blind spot detection feature. Developed common electrical analysis process. Initiated the use of analysis for validation. Introduced Computer Aided Engineering analysis into the vehicle electrical testing and validation. Developed a plan to validate analysis tests to be used instead of vehicle testing. Provided technical leadership and managed the team responsible for the analysis of the vehicle electrical subsystems for the Small Car Group at GM.
