Expert Testimony for Electrical Injury
An electrician was injured when he used a volt-ohmmeter to test the presence of energy on a section of 13,800 volt switchgear that he was going to clean. This consultant was retained as an expert for the defense by the worker's employing contractor. The switchgear was energized and the electrician was severely injured. This consultant proved that through the prior training and experience of the electrician, he should have known better and was at fault.
